The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Federal Reserve found out that if our $1 bills were replaced with a $1 coin, we would save $5.5 billion over 30 years. This is also a good idea because coins last a lot longer than paper money. This can take at least 4 years to transition, but the results would be great!
